A critical review of the Spanish subjunctive
I am currently working with David Giancaspro (Rutgers) on a critical review of the Spanish subjunctive in which we discuss traditional and contemporary approaches to subjunctive characterization and how to bring them together to arrive at a more comprehensive theory of mood selection.
Receptive grammars: A pupillometric study
I am currently working with Damián Vergara Wilson (UNM) on an exploratory analysis of receptive bilinguals' grammars which we will examine using pupillometry (i.e., auditory eye-tracking). In this empirical study, we plan to examine several constructions in order to better understand receptive bilingual's grammatical representation of different syntactic structures.
Spanish Chunking norming study
I am currently working with Manuel Pulido-Azpíroz (Penn State) on norming the L2 chunking task we have developed in Spanish. For this purpose, we plan on recruiting up to 70 participants who are native speakers of Mexican Spanish currently living in Mexico.
